So far this year isn't getting off to a good start for me. I was bummed out about the death of David Bowie, my car is still in the shop and it hasn't been fixed yet, I still need to find another job and on February 16th I crashed my new scooter.

I was riding down an unfamiliar rural road in the middle of nowhere when I glanced at my GPS (Google Maps) for a split second and by the time I saw the loose gravel in the road I applied the brakes, but it was too late. The scooter's back wheel fishtailed out from underneath me and my left leg hit the pavement doing 40 MPH. I must have slid on that slippery gravel for about 10 to 12 feet before I came to a stop on my back. After a minute of collecting my thoughts I tried to get up, but I couldn't feel my left leg. I looked up and saw that it was broken at the knee. I wish I could have been like Heero Yuy in M.S. Gundam Wing and just popped the broken leg bone back into place, tie it up with a bandage and walk away, but I guess I just not that strong. LOL!

Thankfully and old lady drove up and she called for help. The ambulance took me to a hospital in Fort Worth and shortly after I arrived I was being prepped for surgery. I don't know how long I was asleep, but when I woke up I had a big bolt in my thigh, another big bolt in my leg and a steel bar connecting them together.  I thought "WTF is this thing?!!!" LOL! Two days later they performed the final surgery and put stainless steel screws and plates in my leg. When I woke up I had a brace on my leg and the worst case of jet lag that could ever be imagined. I was sooo delirious that I couldn't even hold my head up! LOL! Now I'm back home and my recovery is coming along well, though I don't think I'm gonna be able to attend any cons this year. I might not be able to walk much or stand for long periods of time.

However, my scooter fared alot better than I did. It only has a broken reflector, a broken turn signal and scratches in the paint and it still runs. Go figure!

Damm, now that is one tough scooter!    

I apologize for being so quiet for so long. I'm trying to get back into cosplay photography, but I want to go in a new direction. I'd like to do indoor and outdoor photoshoots away from the crowds.

It's time for me to do more professional looking photos, but I'll need everyone's help. Hopefully I can get my first DLSR camera soon, probably a Nikon D3200.

As for me I'm becoming more health conscious now. Honestly I very depressed and I hate the way I look, so I'm gonna start dieting and exercising. After I reach my ideal weight, I'll begin a weight lifting and body building program at the local gym. By then I should look and feel much better about myself.

I wanna try to get into cosplay myself, but I don't know anything about sewing or resin casting. I'll probably have to commission someone to make my costumes.  

My cosplay wishlist is: Inuyasha, Cobra Crimson Guard and Imperial Tie Fighter pilot. 

I've been having internet problems lately, so I still haven't posted photos from past cons. Please forgive me and I hope no one is really upset . 

I'm still alive! LOL! First of all I'd really like to thank everyone for their comments and critique on my wooden vases and other woodturnings. Thank you, it means alot to me. I'll be posting more photos of my latest projects this week.

I recently found some cosplay photos from Animefest 2012 that I thought I had lost, so I'll start posting them today. Once again I'll be attending A-Kon 24 next month and hopefully I'll have my business cards finished on time. People often ask me if I had a business card with my DA name on it and I didn't. The cards will have my DA name on it plus my Youtube accounts so they can see my AMVs.

Some people have been asking me "when are you gonna post more cosplay photos?" Well, the reason you haven't been seeing any new cosplay photos lately is because my car has been down of over a year and since I had to take a pay cut at work, I've been really, really short of cash. Now that the car is fixed I'll start looking for a new job and hopefully will be moving soon.  

So far 2013 is off to a good start for me and things are looking better already!
